Disaster relief shelters

Develop collapsible plastic interlocking cubes that can be quickly transported to create shelters in international disaster areas.

1) can be stacked as multilevel pyramids or as cubes with built in ladders to provide high density housing as opposed to shanty towns. Possible to increase density 3-4X (or maybe more) over tents and shantys.
2) easily cleanable/sterilizable and long lasting for long term reusability
3) cheap to manufacture using injection molded processes and simple construction
4) lightweight and small in size when collapsed for transport and long term storage
5) better protection from the elements - especially rain, than tents and shantys
6) interlocking plumbing to provide for gravity based running water and sewage disposal (interlocking pipe system) to prevent spread of disease
7) may contain built in tables/chairs/beds recessed into floor/walls for increased usability
8) may contain fireproof area and smoke release system for cooking using wood or other combustible materials.

Printed handwriting

It would be great to have some software that would print using your own handwriting. There is probably a minimal set of words that you could write so that most/all good letter combo's would be covered.

Cell phone petitions

Create an app that lets people call or text a number to effectively sign a petition. Customers would be organizations that are trying to get people to signup.

It seems like this should already exist - does it?

Minimal IPhone Case

IPhone cases are ugly and bulky. The IPhone is a great looking product but requires a case which essentially hides it. When you drop you essentially will only ever hit the corners, so why do all the cases cover the edge and the backing and part of the face? Invent a case that has narrow supports along each edge and secures at each corner. That way a majority of the iphone is visible and the phone is still protected.

craigslist tools

craigslist needs better tools for managing searches and postings. This is actually a pretty good opportunity similar to ebay in the early days.

Also, creating the ability to run auctions on craigslist would be fantastic.

You tube product placement

A variation on the digital product placement here http://inventme.blogspot.com/2006/02/real-time-product-placement.html. To help monetize youtube, this idea could be used to do real time product placement into youtube videos. Not just at the front like they do now, but within the video itself. This would be done semi realtime and different people might see different product placements. This could be enhanced if all the info that google has on you is used to fine tune the product placement.

Modification to family tree

Ok so I just joined facebook, so a modification to the family tree idea is to create a layer on top of facebook to leverage all the facebook activities but still create a family tree organization on top. Maybe someone has done this, but I'm new to facebook so I have no idea.
